HydraForce Launches EVDR-1206A: A High-Channel-Count Valve Driver for Sectional Hydraulic Control

New CE-qualified, twelve-output valve driver simplifies proportional control in complex off-highway hydraulic systems

Lincolnshire, IL – June 15, 2026 – HydraForce, a global designer and manufacturer of motion control systems and a subsidiary of Bosch Rexroth, today launched the EVDR-1206A, a twelve-output, six-input, general purpose valve driver engineered for hydraulic proportional valve applications in complex mobile and off-highway equipment. The new driver is designed specifically for directional-type valve systems and extends HydraForce's proven EVDR valve driver family to address the growing demand for high-channel-count, intelligent electrohydraulic control.

“The EVDR-1206A is a new higher I/O valve driver with rugged and compact design that can be mounted independently or attached to your sectional valve or manifold. It adds additional I/O capacity, and shares hardware with the upcoming fully programmable ECDR-1206A. Both units will work with HF-Impulse® 2.0 configuration and programming software.” – Chris Behling • Electronics Product Portfolio Manager, HydraForce.

The EVDR-1206A delivers configurable, closed-loop current control for six proportional directional valves from a single compact unit. Its twelve current-controlled high-side PWM outputs (0–2.4 A, 50–1000 Hz) and six configurable inputs (0–5 V, 0–32 V, or ratiometric) provide OEM engineers the flexibility to manage complex multi-function machine circuits without adding additional control hardware. The unit accepts SAE J1939 CAN input or an independent voltage signal and features a single CAN 2.0B communication port for seamless integration into modern electrohydraulic architectures.

Powered by an ARM Cortex™ M4 processor running at 128 MHz with 512 kB program flash, 128 kB SRAM, and 8 kB EEPROM, the EVDR-1206A provides ample processing capability and memory for demanding machine control programs. Its wide supply voltage range (9–32 Vdc) makes it suitable for both 12 V and 24 V vehicle systems, and an IP67/IP69K environmental rating ensures reliable operation in the harsh conditions typical of construction, agriculture, mining, and other off-highway applications. The unit operates across a broad temperature range of –40 to 80 °C (–40 to 176 °F).

The EVDR-1206A is configured using HF-Impulse 2.0, HydraForce's free, web-accessible configuration and programming software. HF-Impulse 2.0 allows engineers to define metering profiles, ramp rates, and control parameters through an intuitive interface, shortening development cycles and reducing integration effort. Configuration is performed via CAN, and full technical documentation and the HF-Impulse 2.0 application are available through the HydraForce Electronics Portal at www.hydraforce.com/electronics.

The unit's compact plug-in design and standard mating connectors ease installation and servicing in the field. The EVDR-1206A is CE-qualified, supporting OEM compliance programs in global markets. The EVDR-1206A is available now.
